So I know it's been awhile since I've blogged. There's nothing like signing on and seeing "Christmas Part 2" - even though it's now the end of March...So I will try to update with a real 'life' post next but for now maybe this will help to get my creative juices flowing. My cousin tagged me in her blog, you can check it out here. It's an 11 questions game and here are the rules:
1. Write eleven random things about yourself.
2. Answer the eleven questions given.
3. Write eleven new questions.
4. Tag someone else.
So without further ado...Here I go.
11 Random things:
1. I slept with a stuffed animal until I was married - he even came to college with me. It was a blue dragon named Peter, and it was really hard to fall asleep if I didn't have him. Apparently sleeping the same way for 10+ years can become habit forming.
2. I took kickboxing and Judo in college. So even though I may not look like much - you better think twice before attacking this orange belt. :)
3. I have the most beautiful baby girl in the world. And I can't believe she will be turning 1 next month!
4. I was once told that I was talking too loudly, while in a restaurant, on a date.
5. When I was little I used to throw tantrums in the grocery store - not
about candy like most little kids, but broccoli. It went something like
this, "Buy broccoli, you never buy me broccoli!" My mom said it made her
feel like a bad parent.
6. I was a band geek in high school (and still am at heart). I was in the
marching band, and the highest concert band (and jazz band in jr. high).
I played the alto saxophone, and one year even played the baritone sax. I still
play my alto sometimes, although not as much as I would like.
7. I love to do things outside (especially when the weather is nice) like camping, hiking, biking, swimming, etc. I especially love mountain biking and one of the last times I went with a group of friends, Robert (who I think was my fiancee at the time) decided that we should stop on the way to buy some helmets. (I had been mountain biking quite a few times before this and never worn one) Well it was a good thing because this particular time I happened to have a pretty bad wipe-out which involved landing on my head (and cracking the helmet). Good thing I have the best husband ever!
8. My grandma is Canadian.
9. Some of the places I've traveled to include (but are not limited to) Canada, Mexico, Alaska, and New York.
10. I've never toilet papered anybody's house.
11. I can be really quiet and reserved or super loud and outgoing depending on the situation that I am in. It sometimes takes me awhile to warm up to a group of new people, but I wouldn't consider myself shy. I once had a coworker tell me that the more he got to know me the weirder he thought I was. And yes, I took that as a compliment.
Ok the 11 questions that I was given are:
1. What crime would you commit if you knew you would be exempt of all negative consequences? I can't really say that I've had the urge to commit any crimes lately. If I had to pick something truthfully it would probably be speeding. I like to drive fast, but I don't like getting pulled over.
2. What is your dream profession? I've wanted to be quite a few different professions throughout my life. Orthodontist assistant, fiction/fantasy writer, physical therapist, physical therapist assistant, personal trainer. (those last ones were after I had graduated from college and actually had to decide what to do with my life). And although I still think it would be cool to write a book, the one profession that I could always see myself being was a stay at home mom. guess I lucked out :)
3. Favorite leisure activity? One of my favorite things to do while Lucy is napping, and I feel caught up enough on chores, is to read. I find it very relaxing and enjoyable.
4. If you were to win a kid-free, week-long vacation to anywhere in the world, where would you go? I would definitely want to go to Ireland. I'm not sure exactly when my dream of going to Ireland started, but anytime I see a picture or a movie that takes place there it always looks so amazing. And come on, Irish accents are pretty awesome.
5. e-reader or book and why? I like the convenience of an e-reader, you can pretty much take your whole library with you wherever you go. But at the same time there's just something about having an actual book in your hand. I guess I'd say e-reader on the go, and then curling up with a real book when at home.
6. If you were in an Olympic event (Winter or Summer), what would it be? I always thought it was be amazing to be able to do the skiing/snowboarding ones where they do a million flips in the air. But seeing as I've never been skiing or snowboarding I don't think it's very likely to happen.
7. What is your favorite and least favorite household chore? My favorite is probably dishes. I'm not saying I don't get tired of them (especially because I don't have a dishwasher) but once I'm doing them I really don't mind it. My least favorite is bathrooms. I think my dislike of cleaning them is mainly in my head though. Once I can convince myself to start the process it isn't really that bad.
8. How long can you hold your breath? Well I did it just now and lasted 47 seconds. I think that I for some reason do better in the pool though. I know I at least used to be able to swim a lap there and back underwater at a jr. high pool. Not sure how long it took me though...
9. What is your favorite color (be very specific)? I think the specific name would be sage green. But it's hard to know because there are different shades that are all called the same thing. I know it when I see it though.
10. What is an article of clothing you would wear if you weren't worried about modesty? Tank tops
11. What is your favorite thing about yourself and least favorite thing about yourself (can be physical or otherwise) Well I have really good taste in men (as you can see by looking at my husband), and I make really cute babies. Not really sure what my least favorite thing is though...
Well that's enough about me - let's hear about you! I don't really know who to tag so if you read all the way down to this point and you feel so inclined to participate then Tag! You're it!
Here are the 11 questions for you to answer:
1. What is your dream vacation? Feel free to be specific.
2. Where is the best place you've ever gone out to eat, and what did you get?
3. What would you do if you had the whole day to yourself (no kids, no work, no obligations)?
4. What is your favorite book and/or movie?
5. If you could pick any sport to be a professional in what would it be?
6. What did you have for breakfast this morning?
7. Do you prefer staying up late or getting up early, why?
8. When you were a kid what did you want to be when you grew up?
9. Favorite dessert?
10. Favorite holiday, and why?
11. Favorite thing to watch on tv?
Have fun! I'll try to get some pics up soon!

THANK YOU! I'm so glad you did this (I think everyone else is going to wuss out on me). I loved your answers to the questions, and I especially loved your random fact #1...although, my dragon is way better than your dragon ;)
It was fun, I haven't done one of these type of things in a long time. And there is no way that your dragon is better than mine. :)
