Christmas Part 1

I love the Christmas season!  All of the parties and family get togethers are always so much fun! This year was no exception.  We started off by celebrating at our ward Christmas party at the beginning of December.  It was a nice dinner and different presentations from members of the ward including a few songs by the primary children.  Lucy also got to sit on santa's lap for the first time.  Doesn't she seem really excited?

There were also big Jarman family parties and small(er) Jarman parties.  We had fun exchanging white elephant presents and playing Just Dance 3 at the extended Jarman party. And also loved dinner, gingerbread men decorating, and the nativity acted out by the grandkids at the smaller Jarman party.  Lucy was going to be baby Jesus, but was a little too cranky tired and hungry to play the part.  I know it may seem strange for a girl to play the part of baby Jesus, but as one of my nieces said, "It's ok cause it's only pretend".  Sadly I don't seem to have any pictures of these events....

Not to be outdone the Fifes had a few parties of their own.  My favorite being the  annual Christmas Eve/Anniversary party.  My grandparents were married 63 years ago Christmas Eve and all the Fifes always get together to help them celebrate.  Well it wouldn't be a proper celebration without pizza and caroling and story telling and of course grown men barking jingle bells - and that is exactly what we did.

Along with all the holiday festivities I love the decorations!  We were able to go down to the Temple and look at all the lights and nativities there one night.  Lucy really seemed to enjoy all of the different colored lights everywhere.  She also loved the decorations in our house - her favorite being the Christmas tree and the ornaments on it.

I decided to be crafty and made these stockings this year.  I decided to do them all different that way when a new member of the family comes along I won't have to worry about finding matching fabric.

I sometimes miss the cold and snow of Flagstaff around this time of year, so Robert and I decided to make it snow in our house.  It was a fun date night in, having a picnic on the floor, cutting out these snowflakes, and watching Christmas cartoons.

I know it's a little late but Merry Christmas!
